It took the first 2 miles for me to shake the dust off these legs and get going. I felt slow and tired those first 2 miles and then I really started rolling. The last full mile was 8:00 and I know that the last .66 had to be faster than that cause I was cruising at that point. I could have gone a full 5 miles but I was pushed for time and needed to get back. Also, I'm still getting that same cramp in the arch of my left foot. I've got to make time to go get some new shoes. I don't know if new shoes will solve the problem or not, but these shoes have at least 300 running miles on them plus the wear from casual wear and sometimes work, so I know its about time to trade these bad boys in. I really want got to a real running store and be properly fit for some new shoes.
We had ourselves a busy but relaxed weekend, if that's even possible.
Saturday, the girls had breakfast with Grandma. Grandma was going into withdrawals from not being able to spoil them for the past few weeks. Then she met us at Home Depot for the Kids Workshop.

We got there around 11:00 and apparently they ran out of the decorations for the frame so we have plain ones. However, I bought snow themed foam stickers at Walmart so we can decorate later.
Saturday night the girls and I were invited to an Ornament Party at a friends house. This friend of mine, just so happens to be the mom of Madilyn's BFF. So everyone one had a great time. There was lots of food and fun. We played a dirty Santa type exchange for the ornaments. Audrey didn't seem to understand the game because she came home with the same ornament that she brought.
Sunday, we petty much spent the day at the softball field. Audrey's team had their End of the Season Party at the park. All the kids and parents got together to play kickball and grill out. It was the perfect day for it. Here it is December 2 and 75 degrees. I had to dig out shorts for Audrey to wear. Rather than get another trophy the girls got T-shirts and a Christmas ornament.
And since the weather was so nice Madilyn team called a practice, so we hung out at the park until the sun went down and they could no longer practice.
We went out to lunch this weekend at a local little BBQ place where I ordered a heart attack on a plate.
That would be a Southern BLT. 6 pieces of thick cut Bacon, 2 fried green Tomatoes and Lettuce on buttered Texas toast and add a side of fries. It was so yummy!! Totally worth every single artery clogging calorie.
