Proud Mama

Let me just take a few minutes to brag on my kids...

This week Progress Reports came home for the 2nd 9 weeks of the school year.

Madilyn is making all A's and 2 100's!!

Audrey got great remarks since they don't get actual grades in 1st grade.  She is reading on a 2nd grade level and doing math on a 3rd grade level.

Audrey had an Inventor Project due on Tuesday in which she had to come up with her own invention, tell what it does and how it is made.  Sure I could have helped her and we could have come up with this awesome invention, but she did everything on her own.  I was there to help with spelling of some big words, and kept encouraging her along the way.  But she was proud that she did it all by herself and I am proud that she is becoming so smart and independent.

Madilyn tried out and is going to be a Flower Dancer in her school's chorus performance.  Madilyn who is normally a shy and quiet girl and is content being in the big group of chorus, is going to be stepping out from the crowd and dancing in front of her entire school and parents.  I'm proud that she is going after what she wants. 

And since Madilyn is going to be in the school musical, this momma has to make her costume.  So after doing some diligent research on Pinterest, I came across this picture. 

So next weekend I am setting out to make this thing.
